Canoe from Diest to Zichem (Demer) - S

Enjoy a trip on the water in the beautiful surroundings of the Demer valley. The trip starts in Diest and ends in Zichem.

START LOCATION: Schaluinstraat 5, 3290 Diest (near the fire station)

END LOCATION: Ernest Claesstraat 34, 3271 Zichem (Meetingcentre De Hemmekes) 

Go down the Demer with a 3-person canoe with a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 3 people. The trip takes about 1 hours for a trip of 5,5 kilometers. (minimum age 10 years old but in case of large groups 12 years old is recommended)

Returning from Zichem to Diest is possible with your own transport or public transport. It is not obligatory to return to the start location. It is possible to return directly to your own destination after arrival at the endpoint with your own transport.  

Own transporation:

It is possible to take your own transportation back to the start location or to return directly to your own destination after arrival at the endpoint.

Public transportation: 

It is possible to return by train to Diest after the trip. 

Train Hasselt: Zichem Station (5 minutes on foot) to Diest Station takes about 4 minutes. After the trainride you'll have to walk about 2 minutes to the startpoint. 

Groups under 20 people:

During weekdays (monday - friday) with a starting hour of your choosing.*

In this case a fixed price will be counted for the organisation for this trip.
