Canoe from Lot to Drogenbos

General information

The Valley of the Zenne is a unique part of Flanders. It is the birthplace of lambic and gueuze, the habitat of artists such as Felix De Boeck and Herman Teirlinck. To let the potential of this region fully ferment, Halle, Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, Beersel and the Flemish government are joining forces through the collaboration 'Zennevallei Hergist'. From the summer of 2023 we will start renting canoes on the Zenne.

START LOCATION: Parking: Meanderveld, 1651 Lot

Follow the footpath at Meanderveld number 6 to the bridge at Zennestraat 9

END LOCATION: Grote Baan 302, 1620 Drogenbos

Go down the Dyle with a 3-person canoe with a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 3 people. The trip takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes for a trip of 6,3 kilometers. (minimum age 6 years old)

How do I return after the trip?

Returning from Drogenbos to Lot is possible on foot, with your own bike/car or public transport. It is certainly not mandatory to return, you can go your own way from the end point.

On foot:

You can walk back to Lot on foot. The path starts at the exit point and runs to Lot over a distance of about 5 kilometers. It takes about 1 hour on foot.

Own transportation:

After the trip it is possible to return to Lot with your own transportation or to go directly to your own destination. You can park your vehicle near the endpoint.

You can also return with your own bike. If desired, we can transport bicycles from the starting point to the endpoint for € 3,00 per bicycle (no cargo bicycles).

Public transportation:

After the departure it is possible to return to Lot by public transport. This by train.

Train from 's Gravenbrakel to Ruisbroek station (15 minutes on foot from the arrival) to Lot station takes about 3 minutes. Then walk another 800 meters to the parking in Lot. Tickets for the train can be purchased in advance or at the ticket machines in the station. More information on the NMBS website.
